Weekly miles: 21.5 (includes 3.5 from Thursday)

We went out of town this weekend and I wasn't going to lie to myself and pretend like I was going to do my long run on Sunday at the resort. There I decided to lay low Friday night and watch the Opening Ceremonies (which I ended up not being able to do - more on that in a minute) and Chuck said he'd keep me company riding alongside me on my bike (which - don't worry - is a men's bike :))
My left eye was starting to hurt me pretty badly, and when I looked at the TV the pain was really awful. I could not figure out what was going on but I was beginning to really worry. Due to this, we got a later start but I got my 8 miles in. I felt okay with the exception of my eye, which believe it or not, does make for some painful running. It's amazing how seeming unrelated body parts can impact something like running. As a result, my per mile average was 10:22. I felt bad for Chuck because I'm sure it's hard to ride a bike that slow, LOL. But,I got the job done and if it's not too late I'll submit my time to Nancy for the 8 on the 8th.
Between my run and our departure I headed to urgent care and got a diagnosis and a prescription, so I should be okay soon - hopefully tomorrow. I am taking today off.
I hope the "tri-girls" had great races this weekend - I was thinking of you!!

Oh, you should definitely submit your time to Nancy! Makes it more than just a Saturday run, it makes it an event (after the fact, but who cares!)
PS: hope your eye is feeling better!
ooooooooooo hope your eye is better by now. Sorry I'm so dang far behind. Out of town in meetings, watching olympics and trying to get this report done!! :D
Thanks for running with us!
This is totally unrelated to running but is Gregory still a Navigator? Leland got switched to a traveler and is freaking out! We were going to try to move him back but I wanted to see if Gregory was still in that pod first.
